Every year, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency makes 21 million decisions that affect people's lives and society as a whole. We disburse approximately 260 billion kronor each year. It's everyone's tax money that we manage. It's a significant responsibility. Therefore, we think innovatively and use the latest technology to simplify and improve, develop, and deliver IT services for the Swedish social insurance system. Welcome to one of Sweden's largest IT departments.

At the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's cybersecurity unit, we are responsible for the agency's overall IT security work. Our mission spans the entire security area – from operational work in our SOC to the development of governing regulations and IT architecture. We work to protect the Swedish Social Insurance Agency from intrusions and security threats that may affect our services or the sensitive information we handle as an authority. The unit consists of employees with broad and deep expertise in cybersecurity, creating a professional environment characterized by collaboration, knowledge sharing, and shared responsibility.

We are now looking for an IT architect who wants to contribute to further developing and strengthening cybersecurity within the public sector and ensuring safety and stability in the core operations and IT infrastructure of the Swedish Social Insurance Agency.

With us, you will be an important part of a team working on critical societal issues. In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence how cybersecurity is implemented in practice in a large and complex organization and contribute to a robust and secure digital system landscape.

Security, Cybersecurity, and IT Architecture

As a security architect at the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, you will work on the governance of the agency's IT security efforts. You will be part of a team responsible for IT security regulations, governance, methods, and processes for cybersecurity, focusing on creating a uniform and appropriate security level in the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's IT environments. Part of the mission is to ensure that governance is practically applicable and provides real support for the IT department's employees. You will also work with recurring measurements and follow-ups used to evaluate, govern, and further develop the agency's cybersecurity efforts in line with established goals.

You will work closely with IT development and IT production to ensure that security aspects are considered in all phases of development, implementation, and operation. Providing support and advice to other parts of the IT department in the application of regulations, methods, and security requirements is a natural part of the role. The work directly contributes to the quality of operations and simultaneously provides valuable feedback used to further develop governance. To succeed in this role, you need to collaborate effectively and clearly communicate security aspects with colleagues who have varying technical and operational backgrounds.

With us, you are expected to stay updated in the field of cybersecurity, particularly regarding technological developments and monitoring the external environment. Cybersecurity is a constantly changing area, and we see continuous professional development as a natural and necessary part of the role. You will have good opportunities to develop your skills in line with the demands of the assignment.

The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a high level of security awareness.

This is a job for you who want to take responsibility.
